About Us

The 1st Broxbourne scout group was first registered in October 1928. The group consists of one beaver colony, two cub packs and a scout troop. As well as hosting the District Agilis Explorer unit.

Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills.

The groups provides activities for all genders from age 6 to 14½ years old, and there is currently a waiting list for new members for all sections.

The group has been meeting in the main hall from 1954 and since the 1980’s we have been fortunate to also have a two-storey building attached to the main hall for storage, toilets, kitchen facilities, as well as additional meeting spaces upstairs.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
